I mean it have a chance to do DOP, ( not very big one either)
it travels slow and can be shotdown, it doesnt do that impressive of damage compared to quant torps..
also does anyone know if dmg console for plasma turret add dm to plasma torp?
thx:)

Plasma Torps are a matter of opinion tbh... if the big plasma ball hits the damage is insane so its a close range wepon really...
The console that increases plasma energy weapons does not increase plasma torps, that would be teh plasma projectile console...

As stated above the consoles do increase the damage of the plasma torps. The only plasma torp that travels slow and can be shot is the one you fire with high yield on it. The normal one travels fast and can't be shot. Damage wise, keep in mind I'm in T2 with 2 plasma consoles and have my torp skill maxed. I hit a fed cruiser today in pvp with his/her shield down for over 12k in damage. Boom dead cruiser, personally I have never hit anyone with a quantum/photon for that much damage.
It's true that you will either like them or not, there is no middle ground I think with these. I love them, you just have to learn when and when not to shoot the high yield shot. Also as a side note, it could just be me but I believe the plasma torps have a slower recycle rate than the quantum/photon.

HYT on a plasma torp hitting an unshielded side is GG you lose/win (depending on who fired the thing). when fired at point blank range there is really no time to react to it. There are downsides though.

HYT Plasma torps are pretty good at ripping off shields too.
I like to have one on the a s s of my ship for that pesky BoP that thinking shooting my backside is a good idea. Chasing me = face full of plasma.

Plasma +
Has its own damage type (does plasma damage)
damages shields
overloaded torp is 2.5x damage (may have changed from beta)
can place dot (secondary)
caveat:
Torp has to be fired from PBR, or else it gets shot down

I've seen my HYT Plasma take out several ships when they were too close, at Ltc5, I do about around 5k on each crit. So the Heavy Plasma torp also has a close AOE effect.
Before plasma, I would hit HYT as soon as it came up but with plasma I wait to use it.
Another note on Plasma. The DOT ignores sheilds and goes straight to hull damage.

Personally I do not think the benefits of high yield plasma torps outweigh the downsides. Sure they do a little bit more damage than equivalent high yield quants or photons, but being forced to only fire them at point blank or have them shot down is not worth it, but each to their own I guess.
Oh and getting a high yield with quants can be just as much of a gg, I've had high yield III with quants crit for around 23 000 damage in tier 3 pvp.
