Hey guys, I posed this question before the threads were wiped but I need a answer. I want to be a Tac captain for good ground combat but I also want to have a cruiser ship. what would be a good skill tree and BOF sill to make it effective.

Skill tree? not sure what you are referring to there, but as for BOff skills-

Take skills that play to a cruiser's strength, just like you would if you were an engineering Captain. Even as a Tac Captain, you still won't match the DPS of an Escort, so don't try.

Someone wrote a really good explaination why it's a bad idea to be a science officer on a cruiser; I'd imagine the same would hold true for any other "mixes". If you don't mind having more engineers than tactical BO's, then there shouldn't be a problem I'd think.

I am effective, at least I think so
I tend to stack bo powers that help my heal ability and my wepons output
I am useing Phaser beam/aray and quantum torpedos fore and phaser aray quantum mines aft, I I hil my alpha strike and my all power to phasers and blast the crap out of everything infrount of me
drop mines and hit evasive for a flanking burst and then drop my torpedo scatter.

Works wonders. :)
