I've a question concering the mission where u get zapped back in time to save Miral Parris in "Worvig's trail".
I have a second tier escort class vessel which gets ripped apart by the two warbirds, one the Worvig and the other one a heavy cruiser(4 grade different).
Does anyone know a suitable strategy? The mission is to disable the Worvig, but going up against those two beasts has killed me 5 times now without making a scratch on their paintjob.
I have mark III weapons and sub-systems togeteher with Mark III tactical arrays and the mission is graded for my current level, Lr. commander 2.
If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated!

When soloing, it's always advisable to use some self-repair powers if possible (shield repair in particular). Also use Defensive or Balanced presets. Keep re-distributing shield power as much as possible, even before you take damage.
If you find yourself taking a beating too quickly, do 'alpha strikes'. Launch a massive attack (make sure your weapons are fully charged first and all relevant abilities have been activated), then hit Evasive Maneuvers and whatever other escape abilities you have and get the hell out of there ASAP. Rinse and repeat until the job is done. :)
Lastly, be sure to take down the weakest enemies first. If you can take down weak enemies quickly, then that drastically reduces the amount of enemy fire you have to deal with at any given time. Remember to prioritise enemies that are on the lowest shield/hull rating.
And if all else fails, save the mission for when you are a grade or two stronger.

recommend nuking the worvig first as u dont need to completly kill its hull to remove it from the fight like 30% or something and it has slightly less hull. or u could get a cruiser friend to tnk it for u. no need to do it all solo =)

I went back in time aided the Enterprise to damage the Worvig till is warps away. We both take care of the two D7 BattleCruisers +4. I chase after the Worvig and find it with a single D7 BattleCruiser and both are +4. Again I damage the Worvig enough for it to cloak and make a run for it then I destroy the BattleCruiser. I go looking for the Worvig which is supposed to be too damaged to get very far or stay cloaked to find it fully healed along side another BattleCruiser +4 and this time both are like 10x's stronger, 10x's more powerful fire power, and 2x's faster. In the earlier battle I managed to get the Worvig to about 30% and destroy the other BattleCruiser without being destroyed though I was about 75% hull. As I searched for the Worvig I healed to 100% just before I came within firing range. So its not like the Worvig had tons of time to do repairs yet it was at 100% and this last battle I can't even do any damage to either ship before being destroy. I tried applying all buffs right as battle began ... throwing everything at it but I can only shoot in one direction with my phaser and quantum torpedo... so I purchase a photon mine launcher and will go back and see how that helps.

thanks for the great tips!
I was going kinda solo and since this is a MMO, time to call in some back-up from my fleet to clear the path also ^^
Again, thanks for the tips and suggestions!

Solo'd through it since tihs time around the enemies were only +3. It was tough though. Each battle left me sitting there waiting while my crew repaired my Cruiser. All I can say is you have to utilize everything you have and hopefully you've chosen the right BO skills. I am still used to the attributes my BO's had in beta but I think those were incorrect since I can't find those same skills for them as Ensigns only as Lt.'s.

I just killed the escort while letting the Warvig beat on me, once the escort was dead the Warvig tried to surrender but i just laughed at him. With the crusier I can take on 3 or 4 battleships alone so the Warvig is not much of a issue.
The way I deal with the large capital ships is just a face off, by reinforcing my fron shields constantly, rotating shield frequency, boarding party, overloaded torps, mines, a rear plasma turret and using reverse engines to keep them in front of me as long as possible. I go for the quick kill and when it's dead I go into defensive mode and fly around a bit to firm up the shields then repeat for another quick kill.
Weapon systems I like:
Phaser Cannons up front (45 degree arc)
Quantum Torps up front
Plasma turret at rear (360 degree attack)
Quantum Mines at rear
So as you can tell its alot of fire power up front, shields don't last long and the torps and mines rip thru the hull pretty good. Key I found is, once it is in range revers your engines so you can keep all weapons to bear for as long as possible.
Oh one other thing, you gotta have the power to be able to keep your front shields up.

Me as a cruiser they didn't scratch me really. I had a friend come along as an escort. I had no probs. Escorts shield went down but if you use those skills you have/should have then you should be ok :D

Well when I did this mission the first time I did it right after getting my new cruiser so it was bare bones. For some reason the Admiral sent me on this mission again. Maybe he thought I didn't kick their butts well enough? <shrugs> Well this time it was a ?cynch?.

I found the best thing to do is keep yourself concealed, while still being within minimum distance for attack.
I was perched on an asteroid as I fired at both of them. I took minimal damage, but it was nothing compared to what I took before. :D
I wish you the best of luck with completing the mission! :)

If you are seeing a +number next to an enemy name, that represents their grade differential to you (i.e., level difference). Try them again when you have gained a few more levels.
You will know if it is the grade differential by mousing over the number in the target frame. The tooltip will inform you what the stat means.
