engineering console+armor?

Something that somehow made me think a bit is..why do we have to put armor into engineering consoles?

Wouldn't it be better to have something like +10% repair rate to armor for an engineering console

Armor should have an Armor slot where you put diffrent types of armor into it. Would be logical

There are several types of engineering consoles, not only armor ones...there is also the one you said, hull repair time bonus, various power settings etc.

yes i know but it would be a bit more logical if armor types would get an armor slot.

In the end it's not a showstopper but the more you put such things in their own slots the more the ships could be customizable and overlookable. It's somehow a suggestion to outsource armor parts to own armor slots :)
