K, there are 4 tabs to pick from: Team Join Mode, Loot Mode, Loot Thresh hold, and Looking For Group Mode. Do I
a) put Team Join Mode to "Closed"?
b) put Looking for group to Block Team invites?
or
c) do both?
I ask because I don't want to have to go back and change something if I am joining a group on purpose, just want to turn off auto join.

Press "O" to look at your social configuration. Look two or three tabs over from the first choice. Pick either "closed group" or something along the lines of "let me know via option" if you want to group. It's not hard to figure out. [edit] you must explore the program. [edit]
That being said I was confused for the first 5 levels of my short experience in STO because apparently the first 5 levels are made so that you auto-join groups. Apparently a little box saying you can join them if you want to wasn't chosen as the more direct approach. Instead the chose to force you to join an open group, no matter what your social options are. [edit] Until Lt. Rank 6, anyway.

With any other person who has more than 2 brain cells to rub together you must explore the program. I'm so glad you never tried to learn any 3D software without a complete Idiots Guide on how to use it.
Thanks for the insults, people like you need to just stay off of the boards, either help or don't post, ahole!! BTW I'm a programmer and know more languages than your little high school ass even knows about, some things are just a bit confusing the way they are set up in this game, hence asking for help, douche. If you had bothered to read my post you'd have seen that I already know the options, I just wanted to turn off auto grouping, not all invites.

Which is always amazing to a person such as I who didn't want to group with nooby morons ... but alas, I did anyway. Until Lt. Rank 6, anyway.
Why is it people like you have to bash somebody into the ground for asking a simple question? You think you're superior in some way?

Try not to lower yourself to his level. I reported him. It's a direct violation of the board guidelines.
