Best Race/Traits for Tac/Escort captain?

i know alot of people are not interested in the whole min/max thing which i understand, but like myself im sure there is afew people out there who like to get every last bit of power from their character.

since the game has only just started, and the joined trill was introduced after headstart. ive been doing some thinking and any feedback is welcome.

so i want to play a tactical captain in an escort, and ive come to the conclusion that either joined trill + warp theory + techie or alien with warp theory/techie/efficient and accuracy would be best for a captain focusing on space based pvp/pve.

if anyone would care to give feedback on the best races/traits combos for space based captains i would greatly appriciate it, would kinda suck to carry on leveling when now really is the time to make decisions like these.

alien race

elusive + 10% not beeing hit
accuracy +10% to hit chance
effecient +5 ll efficancys
astro physicist +10science -> science skills offer the largest variety of dmg increasing boff skills.

It quite simply doesn't make that much of a difference when you will be getting >50% improvement from skills.

I took joined trill with warp theory and accurate. But the joined trill trait doesn't make a huge difference by the end of Lt, it will be incredibly minor by Admiral.

I'd be interested in seeing what spec is recommended min/max wise for a Tactical/Escort Captain.

I think atm I have
Full
Starship Command
Starship Energy Weapons Training
Starship Projectile Weapons Training
and
2 pts into Starship Operations Training, will fill that out

Past that I am not sure what else to take, almost all my points are going into space skills.

Don't take tier 3-4 ship skills and probably skip the early specific weapon damage skills (phaser, disruptor, photon, quantum). Then take engineering/ops skills that buff Boff abilities you use frequently.

What do you think about this.

For ground I am just putting points in for melee I don't really want to spend too many points for the ground combat part.
Points in Assault Training, Soldier, Firearms, and Stealth are just filler til I figure out if I want to mess with tractor beams or another starship skill.

For space I just put points into Quantum Projectile, I don't know which I would use yet photon, quantum or one of the others so that is just filler for now.

The Starship skills I am iffy about are
Starship Emitters, Starship Hazard Systems
I am putting the points into there for improved Polarize Hull for more survivability, but with an escort it seems like it could be a waste.

I really don't have all that much info about this game's skill set up so feedback would be really great.

Really, cause I did the same thing with species and traits. :P

Any advice for that spec?
