Cannot use this Rank of Power in this Station?
 

I just hit Lt Commander, I use a Cruiser, All of my Lt BO Powers are usable, and 1 of my Engineers Lt Commanders powers are usable, but the rest of my Lt commander powers are unusable.....I cannot use:

Torpedo high yield 2

Reverse Shield Polarity 1

Photonic Officer 1


Any answers as to why?

My initial thought on this is that you don't have the bridge officer slots unlocked yet. Lt. Cmdr. rank Cruisers (tier 2) only have 1 slot for a BOff Lt. Cmdr. ability, and it's only for Engineers. You can still promote other BOffs, and train up their skills I believe, but the only real reason to do this is to prepare your crew for the Commander rank Cruiser which has more slots for Lt. Cmdr. abilities.

I have the same issue, and I've already made a ticket. Go take a look for yourself if you want.

I fidn the dev responce a little strange...

The tier 2 Lt C ship of any class has only one LT rank BO seat.
All other seats are ensign powers only.

In fact, going from my memory, you'll only ever had a Commander and Lt Commander seat in your ship class specicialization. Then 2 Lt seats, and then an extra ensign seat in one side or the other.

For the cruiser at tier 5 this is 1 Com Eng, 1 Lt Com Eng, 1 Lt Sci, 1 Lt Tac, and then either an Ensign Sci or Tac.

I'd like to once again ask why this is... why not just promote one more seat to Lt Com?

Perhaps it's just me but I did not realize it worked that way :( I knew I could now have 2 Engineers, but didn't know only one of their LT Commander Skills would be visible. Thanks for the help! Hope that gets cleared up somewhere in the future, drove me mad trying to figure it out :P

I just got a cruiser for fun, I'm a Tac Captain of an escort. My Commander Bo and Lt Bo for Tac have their powers on my escort ship. When I fly my cruiser the Commander Eng Station showw the Power slot available but will not register it when i assign a Commander eng BO there.

Any one else have this happen?

WHOA ! How on earth do you have 4 usable LT abilities at t2? That's a major bug! All I have are my ensign abilities. So lemme get this straight, you hit lvl 11 and now have access to nine different BO abilities?! 1 for ensign and 1 for Lt for every BO and then 1 Lt Cmdr? I'm Commander 4 and I only have access to eight BO abilities. Enjoy your bug while it lasts dude.

I find this hard to believe as the way they are supposed to work is you have one slot, engi for cruiser, tac for escort, sci for sci, that can use a lt ability and everything else on ensign. when you upgrade ships again you have one that can use a lt cmdr ability and the rest use lt cept for one that's still on ensign.

seriously, just read/look at the slots before you start equipping BOs it's all explained rather clearly.

Hey dev, see my above highly sarcastic post. Your BOs are always at least one rank below you. When you are lt cmdr you have three ensigns and one lt. not three lts and one lt cmdr.
