Klingon Nag....

How about losing the one space engineer and giving it a 3 space tac slot eh? I mean it's a tier 5 ship!

Negh'var; Starcruiser; Assault cruiser.

They all share structure / shields capacity.

Basically the highest mk X blue covarient shield 7800 shields
Base structure at 36000; 41000 when trained in the ship.
Inertia identical as well at 15 if i remember correctly

What changes; the turn rate is different on the klingon; and the ability to equip cannons + cloak.

They have the same stations too; EXCEPT 1. The ensign station is Tactical on Assault Cruiser; Engineering on Negh'Var; and Science on Star cruiser.

So you're asking to get an Assault Cruiser? Go Fed. :)

Why go fed I agree or change it to a universal slot. Your the Captain you should be able to equip it with all science or all tact or engineer.

Then what would be the point of a science vessel or tactical escort?

You want the tank ship to be able to use the best science skills / dps skills? Some balance is needed; and its a decent way to implement it. At least it still gives you enough freedom to captain the ship you want; and have the bo skills you want; but you must follow a given template for a given ship.

I am a tactical officer and I love the Nevah. True, it is lacking in the tactical BO part, but I think this ship is alright the way it is. The ones wanting to change it I think are using the BoP or Raptors, and they want something large to use that has T4 BO tactical skills. Sometimes I wish the Negvah had a T4 tactical BO slot, but what would be the point? The end result would be a OP ship that could tank, DPS, cloak, and be semi-maneuverable verse the larger fed ships which tend to be less maneuverable.

So, end result. Dont change any current ships, just add in ships for both sides that favor a given class with different BO station setups than the current ones of its tier. That would be about the only way to go really. And I am looking forward to seeing some ports from the old game called Klingon Acadamy. Google it or something if you dont know what it is, but if they ported over the Missouri from that game I would have to be a turncoat and switch to Fed as my main. Sorry my fellow klinks, but I loved that ship, and I love the real USS Missouri from the US Navy. That is my alltime favorite ship for many reasons, reasons I wont explain on the forums though, but short version is I like history.

I don't see a big deal in letting klingons diversify like the feds in t5. I would think due to lack of choice making a couple bo slots science engi or tactical depending on ship type is fine with the rest being universal.
