Are we going to be able to achieve true ship speeds?

A good bit of the ships in star trek (now) exceed warp 9.66 and some don't. Why is it if we have a ship that can reach warp 9.947, like the Cerberus class can, why can't we. The discovery class can reach warp 9.995 but we can't in the game. Anyone else think that it would be nice if their ship went as fast as it should.

Its remarkably pointless to have them go the right speed when the speeds they have are not scaled correctly. Full Impulse is supposed to be .8c (the speed of light), full impulse in this game, if i calculate right, is about 1800 miles an hour, IRL the speed of light is 1500 miles PER SECOND, .8 of that? Not even close to what we have in game.

This has a lot to do with why your ship looks to be the size of southern california (if your a cruiser). Distances and sizes are just terribly, terribly scaled.
