STO 28 bucks on amazon!

Awesome! Go atari!

Discount that title to wring every last drop of box sales out of it, regardless of the impact on the game.

I'm feeling soooo good right now, it's about to kill me.

How does Amazon having a 1 day sale have anything to do with Atari/Cryptic?

Yeah it's Amazon's DotD, one day only to get it cheap.

because the game just came out and no store in their right mind out put a sale on a brandnew game unless told to?

Those are publisher promo pass throughs.

You know they aren't losing money on anything =)

Retailers have nothing to do with the companies whose products they sell. Retailers put things on sale to free-up cash so that they can buy other new things in the pipeline. Cryptic is no more associated with this sale at Amazon as Calvin Klein is with a sale at the Gap. :)

This my friends is true. Sales are probably falling off so they want to get rid of the inventory and use their money to make more money.
