Wow memory Alpha wom most disliked by a landslide. Rest of results prety much what I thought. I honestly thoughgt ground combat was more of a contender for disliked. Ah well mabey next time :) kdding great stuff guys and nice start on open comunacation.

Many thanks for the sitrep! It is much appreciated.

I am really feeling a lot better about STO since we have started getting various reports on a regular basis.

I think the other reason I feel better is I have given up reading the forums. I only read the beginning Cryptic post and leave the replies alone. I also don't read the chat log in game.

I see the light at the end of the worm hole and it is bright (I meant this to be witty or clever). I can't give up my day job as I don't have one. (and no night job either)

Honestly impressed how you will begin sharing dev information openly. Also impressed with the disclosure of the survey results.

All hands, disengage the Slap in the Face system and take the Throw Under the Bus core offline!

I sincerely hope Cryptic is honest about this transparency and customer feedback bit. Frankly I, along with many other players, was disgusted with the way the last Q&A was handled. The question thread got pages and pages of replies and not only were the most reoccurring questions ignored but so were the questions answered in a vague manner that totally missed the underlying intent of the asker. Craig stated in one of the other SotGs that "there are some players who get it and some who don't". I think this is a two way street because I seriously think that Cryptic doesn't quite "get" what is ****ing people off - and if they do they certainly aren't doing a good job of conveying that understanding....

Despite many of the, shall we say unhinged, players... I found this State of the Game to be pretty straight forward and honest. I liked it and really do hope they can stick to what was said. That is being straight forward with to be announced development. It really is, for those gamers that don't know much about mmos yet, an uncanny move for any developer to be able to put that out there.

Often where it fails though is, again, on the forums. Where people overlook the information or go into a frenzy if "x" item never comes to light because they really liked the idea themselves.

With Star Trek Online they've got a great building block here with a lot of potential despite the shaky start. Having admitted that should at least earn them a second chance from some of us. I'm not speaking in terms of immediately; but perhaps after the game gets a few Season Updates under it's belt.

I probably sound like a fanboy since I happen to like the overall casual game approach they've taken with this mmo and the fact that I like the Star Trek IP even if the game isn't quite gold yet. But since my first mmo experience around 2003 I've kind of been wanting to get into the industry's Community Relations field. Which comes back to my main point and that is I think with this State of the Game Cryptic could be becoming exactly what I've wanted a game company to be as far as CR goes with development.

Putting the cards on the table, at their risk mind you, and taking into account their player's feedback over their own to hopefully give us a quality Trek experience as this moves forward. :)
