Premade vs. Premade Arena Match taking over 1 hour!!
 
Hmmm donīt really know what i can say to that. Healing and Resistance Buffing definitely needs some tweaking though. Playing long drawn out Matches like that may be fun one time, but well just imagine how long a Tournament would take. The setups were quite balanced, and we had good healing Cruisers on both sides. A little bit healing heavy setups, but guess what, thats what your gonna see...

I have posted it before and good PvPers would agree with me, they just didnīt voice it on the forums yet. I called for faster games, and bringing back some kind of better Burst damage. Of course then PuGīs would have an even harder time, and some people might be discouraged, because they blow up even faster. But they whine around anyway.

lol also on the numbers... 4.3 million! in healing only by Era :D

nerf healing, or buff damage.

you dont have to increase burst damage, just decrease healing. Particularly ally healing.

i do note you had no Tacticals tho :)

while that is true that we had no tac on our team i was on my escort... and the other team had an escort too (borginda), not sure though if he is tac or eng.

see now there is your problem right off the bat ... fed vs fed :p
should have done fed vs kling (would have been over with quicker)
.. oh & im not saying the klings would win im just saying it would have been over with quicker ^^

maybe :)

tbh i find fed vs fed boring .. only problem i have just now is when im playing on my fed toons its next to impossible to get a fed vs kling pvp .
& when im on my kling (like last night) i gave up got 3 or 4 pvp matches to start was trying from like 4pm till 10pm.

Borginda is a engineer in Fleet Escort. It was a great match :D

well... this evenly matched teams would be the exception, rather than the rule, i guess... and I bet you're all twisting your brains right now to figure out what could have been done different to make a quicker win :D. Guess some of you have already made some changes to your builds?

This, imo, is the result of too many cruisers in one match. Leading to the question: why is everyone and his uncle flying a cruiser? Answer: because they are good at staying alive, and staying alive is the most important thing in PvP... dying=loosing the match.

So with an increase in burst damage... won't that make the last 4 PvPers not flying a cruiser switch over to cruiser? After all, the Galaxy and the klingon cruisers can fit DHCs...

My suggestion would be to make one or two REAL good exposes for science. Something making it worth running 100+ to aux. Something making it worth running a science ship! Something with a very narrow arc, making it easier to target slow-moving objects (read cruiser).Short duration strong exposes invites maneuvrable burst-damage ships to exploit. Result: more sci-ships and escorts.

In short, make a sci-power strong enough that a sci ship and an escort together can take out a cruiser.

I'm sure there can be a lot of good suggestions of what this ability should be... may i suggest something that makes the target unable to heal/be healed for a period of time?

you see a cruiser get blownapart by a BoP and a Sci ship on Tribble a few days ago, but if that guy would have had one other ship to support him with heals it couldnīt be done... maybe it shouldnt^^
but yeah iīve been calling for offensive sci buffīs and i will continue doing it i guess...
and yeah my brain is running hot atm....

2 problems

1: They are allready ingame (SNB/VM/TB+Tykens+TSS)
2: It would mean a huge impact on PUGs, and not so much for Premades - Because of the better crosshealing in premades.
