Firstly: I've recently bought STO myself, and I have to say I'm enjoying it complete.
Secondly: Friend of mine, just bought it as well at my request, however due to my misconception of how the referal process works, it appears I'm unable to take credit as it were for his arrival to the game.
We were simply curious if there was some way to remedy this error.
As someone who attempted to recruit my wife into this game, I can give you some clarity on your issue. (since your post is generally being ignored?)
If you inputted the retail key into the server, then it is now consumed. Cryptic will not refund, nor "re-link" your accounts. Try again, and log in and ensure that your characters are linked, before putting in keys. Or better, Abandon Ship!
