Exploration zones, bridge interiors and all that
I love the bridge interiors, and I would really love to spend more time there. Thing is, there is no real raosn to. Then it occurred to me.
Why cant we do exploration space inside our bridge? The sector space bit is almost irrelevant because location are random and tbh, its more of an irritance drifting about weaving in that soup.
We could, instead, be inside our bridge and get random messages from our BOffs, 'picking something up on sensors' etc. We get the basic info and then we switch in to the planet zone. I realise the interactivity among player ships might be tricky to implement, but apart form team play its mainly meaningless anyway in these regions.
so if i follow right, when we switch to the explore maps it would be a cut to the bridge then after a set ammount of time one of the officers would detect "something" then either the scanning minigame or the planet/event map would load?
that would certainly cut out alot of the poaching ive seen. id play it.
