Deferi Rescue Daily Change

So I no longer have the option to pay the latinum to get the Deferi slaves. I was just curious if there were other unannounced changes to this mission, ie a more diplomatic solution by appealing to the Breen. I would test it myself, but would rather not have to wait 24 hours after failing it to get the missed diplomacy experience.

You don't get the option if you don't have the latinum.

That and as a federation character you can go the technobabble route and get the DXP without paying the fee.

Even if you have the latinum....I still wouldnt give it to the breen.....

Yes, for Fed characters there is an option to resolve it "peacefully" and get the diplo exp. Heck, after you beam them over, you can then provoke the Breen and fight them and you still get the diplo for rescuing the captives.

Why would ANYONE spend the latinum? It's not hard to figure out the rest to get the diplomacy XP for free.

I did it the very first time I got this mission, just to see what would happen.

Answer: They took my latinum.

I loved it! I like "choose your own adventure"style missions with many options. The next day when I played, it was a real delight to find the techno-babble solution.

More missions like this, please!

I don't give them the latinum, I just like knowing I have options. And I just realized that I spent the last of my latinum, so I did not have latinum at the time :D
