About that auto-grouping function
So I just recently came back to the game and started all over on a new captain. One of the things I remembered is that this game has an auto-grouping function and I went to go turn it off like I had in the past. The problem is that it doesn't seem to be working anymore. I checked the online manual on the main page and followed it's directions. I opened my Social window, went to my Team Settings tab, and then set it to Closed Team. However, I keep getting put into instances (not fleet actions, just normal missions) with other people no matter what I set it to. Am I doing something wrong or is this not working properly at the moment?

I can't answer the question perfectly since I haven't tried it, but I'm pretty sure the only missions that would work on are Patrol and Story missions. Fleet actions (as you already know) and DSEs (Defend the Sector) don't count.

I'm not able to get into the game now to check, but look through the team options, maybe you'll see something you might have missed which will prevent teaming.

I'm pretty sure Closed Team means that when you start a team only people who are invited can join, not anyone else.

Turning off the auto-teaming feature needs to be done in 2 different areas on the Team windown. First at the top right you need to set your defaults to Closed Team. Then, on the bottom right, you'll see a tab saying LFT Settings. You need to click on that and set that from Open Teaming to Allow Invites or Block Invites.

Cool, thanks guys. I knew it had to be something silly I was missing. I'll take a look at it again once I log in. Everything about this game seems to changed since I've been away, it feels like a whole new game to be honest. Time to relearn everything, heh.
