Delete dialog deletes ALL dialog

Is that normal?

Did you click on the item in the tab on the left side before you clicked "Delete Dialogue," or were you previewing it in the editor?

Pendra, thanks for this! I think this is how it's meant to work, but it's a bit confusing as is, for sure.

Maybe we just need to remove that button... hmm...

LOL. It's like lets put the big red shiny bad button in the children's pen and see if they will DESTROY the WORLD!

The hint says "Delete the currently selected dialog." This button promised me to delete the single dialog the selection bar is highlighting, then it did this:

Are you absolutely sure of that it should work this way?

It still feels like you use something else instead of the ID to identify the object/record for deletion.

The whole object you're looking at in the dialog editor is a dialog, regardless of how many nodes/windows it has. Think of the word dialog in this instance as "conversation", rather than say "sentence". This is why you cannot use the delete dialog button with a talk to contact objective--it wouldn't make sense to delete a conversation that's required by an objective.

Does that make sense?

If you want to delete one portion of a dialog, you can drag it to the trash, or select it and either click the trash can in the properties panel or use the Delete key. :)
