touch screen options and usablity

i have a touch screen and this game was part of the reason i got it. i play pretty comfortably using it, but if there was some options or settings that can be added for those users with touch screens ( i cant be the only one.) that would be helpful and awesome (for lack of better terms). as it is now i cant move the camera with the touch screen and i have to double tap an ability to activate it. unless there is something i am missing adding this things would make it easier and enhance the experience. i dont know if this is the spot to suggest such a thing, but i hope it will find its way.

I use a touchscreen as well, but in a slightly different fashion:

It is a 2nd LCD and I lay it down like a keyboard. I control the game with a custom made button layout.

that's pretty cool. and i see there is an app for the phones too, but i am going for the monitor to be used. since i would imagine that on the screen of the tactical console or any console for that matter you would have some sort of presentational of the ship to see what is going on. looking at one of the missions when you enter a nebula or a body of gas your sensors start to become effected. the controls look clear and with out any defects, but your visual looks like it's filled with static.
