I'm just here for the anomalies.
I admit it: I'm a little pathological about scanning anomalies.
Having them in missions is a good thing--more anomalies are always better than fewer--and a bad thing: They distract from the mission, their numbers don't scale with teams, and they appear in some of the oddest places (e.g., the command deck of the Ceres starbase).
Maybe the new exploration and currency systems will eliminate the need for scanning anomalies in missions, perhaps by trading exploration marks for samples or by adding Fed-style versions of the Klingon sorties. If not, I wonder if there are ways to better integrate them into missions or rearrange things so they don't compete with mission objectives or require minding map transitions.
