Maneuverability for MVAS Alpha Command

So, I purchased the upgrade for Multi-Vector Assault Mode (MVAS) today and my feedback for the general usage is pleasant save one issue which I will try my best to describe.

Obviously there are three different MVAS commands. The first command, Alpha, utilizes the "saucer" section of the Prometheus class ship for the player to use. The first thing I noticed was that the saucer section seems to maneuver as though the rest of the ship is attached. In other words, the center of gravity seems to be behind the ship instead of the center of the mass of the ship, which is where it (theoretically) should be. This makes the movement (yaw, pitch and roll) seem off and awkward.

I welcome others to expand upon my explanation as it is a bit difficult to describe.
