=/\= Earn Atari Tokens In Game =/\=

UPDATED June 3, 2011
------------------------------------

PREMIER 1 Racing and the Free giving of prizes has gotten me an infraction/warning :(

I love this game to much to risk getting another one so I am officially terminating my PREMIER 1 League and the Free Atari Tokens.

The infraction/warning is partially my fault for not officially informing cryptic of my intension to give away prizes in a tournament. As such it violated the rules and therefore I am ending the practice in order to not affect my account any more.

I had a blast while it lasted :D
I hope to see you guys in game.

bye

How is it illegal?

If my understanding of things is correct, this is not illegal in anyway.

If he was asking for people to provide him goods in exchange for Atari Points, it could be. If he was trying to buy atari points for goods, it could be. If he were trying to trade credits or anything else in game for Atari points, it could be.

But this is a competition, with Atari Points given away as a prize. I don't think this is any different than people entering a quiz or random drawing contest in exchange for points.

My concern actually derives from what I see looking at the roster list;
Where's the support for KDF?
If the point of the obstacles is to need to avoid them, why would anyone fly anything that doesn't cloak? For that matter, the Defiant-R would be the de-facto choice, because it has good turning radius, good speed, and can cloak, effectively negating out the threat of hostile enemies, unless the hostile enemies were also placed inside warp-dropping nebulae.

I'm all for this kind of thing, I just think it might need some looking at to avoid some problems occurring.

I am having a difficult time getting Federation players to join.
Only one KDF player has ask me about a Division for them.
At this time I can't see one unless out of the blue 8 KDF players come out of nowhere and ask for the division.

Very good point.
I will fix that ASAP
Thanks from bringing that out :)

Mask energy signature is also a cloaking effect you should be aware of, if you're looking for a way limit out the cloaks.

I don't think it should be explicityly banning of the ships in question (dreadnaught (hah, why anyone would fly that in a race, I don't know) or Defiant), just the cloak. Unless you were looking to limit ship selections base on manuvering.

Another direction to throw this might perhaps be to arrange this into brackets around different types of ship classes - escorts, cruiser, science.

In regards to the Klingons - It's tough, given the limited number of KDF players to start with, but being prepared to at least field them if needed should be on your list at least, just because Klingons do get so little love.

I don't see how a race can work. I might be interested, if I could make those hours for competition. I just don't undestand how a race can work.

I use Borg engines, which aren't quite the fastest, but even if i equipped the fastest ones...basically we are all the same speed. So it would come down to who hits the Full Impulse button first?

I'd like a little more info on how this works.

Good idea, but a paper chase would be more interesting and fair.

I recommend that you try the mission Rip RPG PREMIER 1 Course - B2

Time yourself and then run it again and see if you get the same time.

If you are off by a single second that mean the race will work just fine ;)
