Foundry grinding missions devalue our characters
Solution: deactivate XP per Enemy in foundry missions - that won`t hurt anybody.
Doing those grinding missions is no matter of individual freedom as it decreases the value of all our chars. The value of a char is to some degree measured by the time you invested, and if there are now simple, stupid ways to do that in much shorter time, it affects us all. So Crpytic should make it clear that those missions had no place in STO. As reported in the last STOked episode grinding missions were reported by players and banned by Crpytic. But they had been republished within minutes. That`s a fight Crpytic won`t win. |
First of all, as long as there's no exploit that allows faster XP than normal, I don't feel my character is being devalued.
Second, The Foundry IS Star Trek Online as far as I'm concerned and I want to see the option to progress ONLY with The Foundry, which is hard enough as is and would be harder still without enemy Skillpoints. |
Better solution: just do what Wishstone said:

Maybe we have different definitions of grinding, BTW, but grinding is killing mobs one at a time for skillpoint gains.
It would be physically impossible to level quickly through grinding. You can get maybe 15 skillpoints a minute at VA. People leveling faster than that are doing something BESIDES grinding. |

Map setup seems to be 100 mobs and you just warp in and explode...and thereby kill a lot of mobs.

until his mate comes along and puts another one up.

Those missions are created in less than 5 minutes. So another player will do it.
