Need lots of help!!!
 
Ok so im working on a mission and need lots of help! and so far im only on the beginning (not a good indicator I grant you).

So heres what I need...

First is there a way for a map transition to be done with an "interact with object" rather than a BO chat is it possible and how?

Second is there a way to simulate dropping a bouy from the ship and how?

Third and finally (so far anyway) I remeber watching a video of a map transition without the transition bit. I recently encountered this on a foundry mission "The Spirits of Ramok Nor" when you go to the bar storeroom. How is this accomplished?

Any video links for these would also be appreciated.

For question 1, please see "Map Transitions 101"

For quest 3, please see part "Triggers, part 2" That trick didn't actually take you anywhere. Walls inside ds9 appears making it seem like you instantly went somewhere else.

For question 2, I would need more of an explanation for what you're trying to do.

Ok so I went to the video tutorial for map transitions (thanks) but that wasnt what I meant I know how everyday map transitions work.

What I want to know is there any way to use the "Interact with object" on an item in map 1 (so u can use an animation with it) that will then spawn you on map 2.

So on map 1 I have a transwarp gate that I want the player to interact with, When they do the animation is that of a transwarp drive and I want that to transition the player to map 2.

In map 2 they then have to reach a place marker to drop a communications Buoy.

But I have no idea if this is possible or how. I was thinking of using the transition less method as the map they leave and arrive at is the same map (of course I want the player to arrive facing an opposite direction to where they left) this is all space map BTW.

I tried to explain this in the video. Sorry if it wasn't clear. After the last objective of the first map is interacting with the transwarp conduit (with an animation assigned), make the next objective in the story tab to reach a marker and specify the place marker on map 2. Once the player is done interacting with the transwarp, it will transition to the next map.

Are you asking for the "go to next map?" BO popup to be that of a transwarp conduit? That BO popup happens on map transfers.
