Can Anyone Explain To Me What The Devidian Staff Is And What Does It Do?

as for what it does, you remember that the devidians can just lift you off the ground and drain your energy, and you can't really do anything? this cane always you to do the same to your enemies :D

I think you just absord 30 HP from your enemy, each. I use it, if nothing else then to HOLD them.

It hurts them, heals you, locks them down, and has a cool down that resets with Tac Initiative all this makes it the best personal device.

Works very well for CC situations in my opinion, and fits with my build overall (Grenade satchel, stuns, AoE exposes, AoE DoTs)

the staff is practically useless unless you plan on holding your enemies for long enough to have your boffs kill them, especially interrogators and medics. your better off just getting your heals from a sci boff, two medical tricorders, one vascular regen and a nanite health is strong enough to defeat most attacks, have 3 officers all with the same abilities and 1 from the engineering side with shield regens and support abilities, it makes the cane completely useless in any sense of the word, i do however keep it around for interference purposes only and nothing more.

it works best in concert with the Pattern enhancers.

I've noticed that sometimes please note only sometimes it interacts with the pattern enhancers in a funny way. What I mean is it has from time to time randomly spawned a Devidian and also a klingon swordmaster. This might be a glitch not sure funny when it happens though.

That's not the cane, it's the Pattern Enhancer that has a chance to spawn things from the 23rd century, Devidians or just Tribbles.
