I like that vessel, Starfleet could have adopted that design to be used with Federation technology.
I think at the Battle of Procyron (ENT: Azati Prime) we had a glimpse of a Dauntless Class ship participating.

With the specs and sensor data that Voyager brought home, Starfleet easily could have made a replica of that ship, and if it's only for the looks.
I think it would be great as somekind of Excelsior Costume.
(I really hate the Excelsiors looks)

Live long and prosper.

i think the dauntless should have a special to change how it looks like a intergrated holo emiiter or somthing

Hang on. Wasn't the Dauntless a fake ship made up by some guy who's only contact with the Federation was the USS Voyager?

Yes, the Dauntless was not truly a Federation ship. Memory Alpha link for the ship itself. Link for the ship-class. It did appear in an episode of ENT, as mentioned above (also mentioned in ship-class link), but that was (lore reasoning) an alternate timeline and (technical reasoning) they were reusing a lot of other ship classes in that battle, including known ships of other races for the Sphere Builders (see the link for the specific episode).

Ya.... No, the Dauntless was a bad idea. Plus, the things, what, a third the size of an Intrepid? What would it be? Its tiny, lightly armed and armored, (did it even HAVE weapons) and not even originally federation. I seriously doubt such a ship would be copied and used by the federation.

And it can't even be the Slipstream Prototype platform, since we're getting the Vesta in S5.

"Alternate timelines" is never a reason not to use a ship in STO. Perfect example: The Dreadnought. The only time we've ever seen the Galaxy-X was in the Q-created alternate universe of AGT, yet it's in-game.

So if that's your only reason, then there really is no reason not to.

The Dauntless wasn't a Federation Starship. It was a starship of Species 116.
It was disguised using particle synthesis to trick the Voyager crew to come aboard and be assimilated in retribution for accidentally causing Species 116 to be assimilated.
Notice, among other issues, the registry: NX-01-A. The only way it could be NX-01-A would be if it was an Enterprise. Plus, how could Starfleet consciously use a ship designed by a race that was destroyed by the Borg? "Oh, you're all dead or Borg. We'll just take this ship design off your hands."

NOW, this is not to say that I don't support the concept. The D'Kyr isn't a Federation Starship. It's Vulcan. I rather like the idea, especially if it granted a speed boost to the Quantum Slipstream power. So conceptually, it's a shaky concept, but I'm still for it. Even if it DOES look like a fish.
