I'm not going to pretend the game doesnt have problems, but moving the rating down from the previous review is ridiculous. And actually doing another review 2 weeks before Season 4, but claiming it will be reviewed yet again after it launches, is an utter waste of time

lol @ mmorpg.com

They lower the score on a game that has gotten better across the board since their inititial review. I think everyone, even the harshest STO critics can agree that is completely backwards.

I'm reminded why I don't bother with their site for mmo news and reviews anymore. :)

I found this review to be both fair, and accurate. Sorry, its just the truth.

Very shallow and repetitive review. It looks like they spent a few hours tops actually playing STO to investigate. Marked off for Atari customer support, lol.

I like how one of the negative points is repetitive gameplay. I'm sorry? Care to name one MMO that doesn't have repetitive gameplay?

The entire write up of that review game me the distinct impression that the reviewer had no intention of providing a fair and balanced commentary on the game or how it has progressed since the last review.

It cannot be accurate if it says the game is improving and yet lowered the score from the previous review.

What do you expect from mmorpg... :p

That happens when re-revies are done by different people. They knew nothing about when the game launched, know nothing about 6 month ago and only see the current state.

I'm just wondering if the reviewer even knows what an RTS is now... :D

The issue at hand is that the score posted is not just "that reviewers" score, it is MMORPG.com's score. So even if a different person reviews it, the score should not actually drop unless something like the NGE happens to a game.
