PVPing in PUGs is Much More Fun as a Klink

So, I've been leveling my klink lately, and ever since I got him to Commander level I've been PVP'ing with him. After doing this for only a little bit, I have to say that I am having a lot more fun in PVP matches than what I'm used to on the Fed side. It's wonderful to have teamwork on a more consistent basis. Compare that to the Fed PUGs I had last night, that kept on focus firing on the tanking vor'chas instead of the squishy B'Rels. On top of this, the klink players are a lot more talkative and much more agreeable company.

As it has been said before, it seems that the Feds in general are more into solo playing, so that does not transfer well over into PVP'ing. It really seems that the klingon side might be a better fit for me, because of my concentration on the combat side of STO & the PVP action. When I'm done leveling my klink, I'll probably end up spending more time on him instead of my leveled Fed main.

Qapla!

Klingons generally tend to know what they're doing.

And you see far fewer Klingons than you do Feds that Kirk Rush into the middle of the opposing enemy team, expecting to take out at least a few of them.

I found the same thing when I first tried the Klingon side back in the middle of last year, your average Klingon PUG is usually friendly and seem to know what they are doing / willing to co-ordinate.

In general I find you can expect a much greater level of teamwork in a Klingon PUG than on a Federation one - heals, focus fire, tactical discussion - all seem to come readily with the Klingons, while being a rarity on the Federation side.

Not entirely sure why, as there are quite a few people that play both sides.

So come over to the Klingon side, we may not have much content but we have plenty of camaraderie.

I've been playing MMO's for decades... wow I'm not getting any younger... and one thing that I've noticed and could never find a good explanation for, was that EVIL factions always seem to be better organized, coordinated, players are friendlier. They also tend to RP more than the GOOD guys. Don't know why but to this day it appears to still be the case.

Its more of that cloak is HUGE advantage in PUG environment. That favours klingson, and also the fact they pvp much more than the average fed leveling his toon.

not at all.
KDF ships with cloak have fewer Hp's.

The problem with Fed pug and some fed premades is
1) They group together, ergo, they can't fight one on one.
2) They are all in cruisers and usually sci's so they can't do spike damage.

If you look at the kdf, if they aren't in carriers or battleships they are at least half in BOP (more after the patch that fixes cloak). Great burst damage.

If the Feds get into their escorts again and learn to fight one on one they will start to win.

I have two KDF and a fed. That fed doesn't go anywhere near pvp after what I have seen in on the 'other side'.

with too many toons to be reasonable :P I will say it is easier to get a team in a pug with a KDF then on the the FED.

Admittedly, my Vorcha needs some work, being as its on my first KDF char, no more respec tokens and shes a TAC. ah well, its squishy, designed for a team and to melt shields/hull. :P
