Making my test character more powerful?
 

Hello!

With my new mission published I came to realize exactly how unbalanced it is. Now part of this is my new-ness to the foundry and part of it is the fact that the test characters we're given have no bridge officers, no advancement options and not skill levels. So when I try to adjust the difficulty of an encounter I have to adjust it to the in foundry character.

However when I played it with my real character I realized how easy the battles were, especially in space. So my question is, can I advance my character so that it can take on higher challenges and help me tweak the difficulty more or is it perma stuck on ensign?

On the Foundry Character page, instead of hitting the "Create Content" button, hit "Play".

Keep in mid though, the hostile groups are already designed with real characters in mind, and there are many difficulty levels, there is a small description of most on the selection pane in the editor.
