If a buy a ship from the store, when I get promoted to a new rank does the ship gets upgraded or remains at the stats it has at the store?

The stats stay as they are.

Ok Thanks, That is what I thought, so no need for me to spend money on a ship I will outgrow when I level up?

the lower level ships in the c store tend to come with a special ability console you can take with you and stick in a new ship, but in general no, no need.

That's a rather philosophical question, considering there is no "need" for any of them irrespctive of their rank.:)

But seriously, there is no practical reason IMO for the low level ships since you outlevel them so quickly.

Yep, I will wait until hitting a higher rank. Right now I am a Leutenant 3, so the ship I got does the work so far. Thanks guys In game I am Kantaryo if you all in your travels find me stuck in an asteroid and want to lend a hand...:D
