New Ship?
What do you guys think of this?
I made it in paint using the Sovereign as my design base. It's kind of a Sovereign Escort Type . I didn't give it a class name, any suggestions? I know there is no plan to incorporate fan based ships, but since the contest to design the Enterprise-F, I kind of wanted to see some of the designs that were sent in. Perhaps this could be a post to for showcasing Your designs. I would like to see them. |

I'd propose you put the engines upside down since the blue section is the emitting part of the warp coils which are at the side of the engines not facing the pylons which in turn contain the conduits leading to the coils.
The way you arranged them the condiots would cut into the coils themselves.:) I don't know why but given that "Sovereign" is probably derived from Royal Navy "Royal Sovereign" I fell a name from the RN would be not that bad. How about Courageous, after the Britsh "Large Light Cruiser" class? |

Sadly I can't draw, I did make some very rough models out of old Star Trek Micro Machines, one using a Miranda class and Galaxy class mix, the other just attaching two nacelles to the saucer of a Galaxy class in the form of large cannons.
But I can't take any pictures, no web cam, no digi cam and I don't own a mobile phone of any kind. As for a class name for your ship design, hmm...Hawk class or Eagle class maybe? |
I was always a fan of the Mirandized Sovereign idea myself.
