Carrier pet question
 
Are there different rarities of carrier pets? I just hit MG on my sci and picked up a Vo'quv. There's a vendor in the shipyard that sells different pets for EC, but I noticed that they are all white and level 46. Can you get pets that are higher level? Are there green, blue, or purple versions of them? If so, where do I get them?

Nope, they're all the same type, though Cryptic has said from time to time that they are considering adding different rarities of them.

Follow-up question: do damage skill modifiers (such as the Disruptor skill or the Cannon skill in the case of the BoP) for your char effect the damage your pets do? What about the tac consoles (+X Cannon) on your ship? Do they modify the damage your pets do?

As far as I am aware the answer is No. They have their own skills and builds just like the Multivector Pets, Tal'kyr, And Failsaucer.

In your skill tree choose the skills for the hangar pets and you will see which skills affect them.
lots of the skills are the same for photonic fleet and fleet support also:cool:

Yeah but I heard that the skills listed in the info box didn't actually do anything in game to the effectiveness of the pets... I wish there was definite numbers or something that addressed what did what
