Particle Fragments?
 

Anyone else getting these via drops? Anyone know what they're for?

I have been getting them too ingame, but I have no idea what they do or what they are? :confused:

I had a few from drops. I was fighting a Klingon ship in a space battle when I was told that I had just used both of them. I did not have them selected or my inventory box open. Not sure what they are good for.

Hang onto them, you'll be using them later.. read the release note gents :-)

Care to help a brother out? I did a search on "particle fragments" and came up empty...

These are used for one of the new events that is coming. They will normally only drop from the enemy's in the events, however they are doping unintentionally at the moment. This is already corrected. so they should be gone in the next patch to the Beta server.

Don't worry about holding on to them they wont stay in your inventory for long, as they degrade over time.

If these are for a new event then they should stack and not disappear from your inventory when you get disconnected.
