Returning player needs ship powers help
 

I just came back to the game after a long break and i'm finding that i have pretty much forgotten all those little things that help keep you alive in STO. I rerolled a new Fed Tac Captain and go through the tutorial and i am just getting chewed up in missions with more then 1 enemy ship. What should my powers be on my cruiser? Any help would be appreciated.

I'm a Tac, and usually I stick to escorts. Defiant, Akira, Prometheus. The powers we get help with escorts. You can play any ship style you want, but you get a slight advantage when you play your own department ship. The last cruiser I played was Excalibur.
