mvam with full borg set
what kind of build do i need to max dmg.i am a tac va loaded with mk xi purps dhc cannons and phasers ba & dbb's.
Swap to Antiproton.
Load quantum or tricobalt, your preference. Single launcher fore.
3x rear turrets, maximize forward DPS (MVAM has FAR more than enough maneuverability to make all other arcs pointless).
Single Dual Beam fore.
2x DHC fore..
2x Rapid Fire.
APB, APO. Either or both.
You'll find yourself taking out targets in a single pass.
first of all, ditch the MVAE and switch to the advanced escort and equip the mvam console
the console can be used on the mvae and AE ships. the only difference in the two is the boff layout. the MVAE ditches the LTcomm tac boff for a LTcomm sci boff.
heres a quick suggestion for a build
AP omega 3
as for weapons:
1 quantom torp, 1 DBB and 2 DHC fore
3 turrets rear
switch to anti proton weapons

You want to kill or just put on a pretty light show?
You can be serious or your can play games it is up to you. If you want to actually be lethal then this is how it goes...
Stick with Phasers or switch to Disruptors both are good but when separated you will dish out so much Phaser Fire that Procs happen regularly.
3 DHC up front with a Quantum.
3 Turrets in back.
Tyken's Rift II at your highest Sci Slot. Get your Aux power up with Efficiency skills. Put some effort into boosting Spatial Anom or carry around some Aux Batteries.
Make sure to have Cannon Rapid Fire, Cannon Scatter Volley, Torp Spread, Torp High Yield, and Attack Pattern Omega III (Far superior to a Torp or Cannon III skill in the long run.)
Seperate into Beta Section and get the Red Rings of Death on your foe (Attack Pattern Beta from your Alpha Piece, Attack Pattern Delta from your Gamma Piece, and your own Fire on My Mark = MASSIVE Resistance Debuff). Peg them with your Tyken's and watch them grind to a halt then unload your fury.
Tyken's Rift =/= Gravity Well.
Nothing lethal about Tyken's.
Spread AND High Yield with only 1 torpedo tube? lol...
Scatter Volley AND Rapid Fire? lol...
I imagine I missed a few other mistakes as well, but quite frankly, the advice was too flawed for me to pinpoint everything.
Spread AND High Yield takes away from your damage output, which means that even a less-than-half decent healer will laugh at you.
Scatter AND Rapid Fire takes away from your damage output even further, which means that even a Tac flying a cruiser will be laughing at your DPS as he heals it.
PvP isn't about being universally useful... If you're "universally useful", you're SEVERELY lacking in what your team expects of you to succeed.
Speccing for 1v1s is stupid to begin with.
I can counter that build with... well... anything. It isn't "good" at anything. It's trying to do too many different things, stopping it from being a true threat, specializing in nothing.
Because he is an escort, arguably among the squishiest, he would die against anyone, flying any ship, without the world's most severe cases of cerebral palzy and down syndrome combined.
At least, without having the raw power to make up for it.
PvP isn't about how many different things YOU can do.
It's about how well you can make what YOU are EXPECTED to do work WITH your allies.
Your allies need to be able to count on you. I wouldn't waste my time counting on this, just looking at it screams that it wouldn't work in a reliable team and would just be leeching from the rest of us.
If I found myself with an Escort like this in my team, I'd already count the match as fighting down a man, 4 vs 5.
Edit: Besides... the OP requested a build to maximize damage... if you still argue this build does it, I lol.
