I don't like it. The noisy background image keeps drawing my attention away from the ship. Bring back the black background!

They had something similar before, I think during beta.

I like the concept here, but I'd like to see something in between. I think the Earth Spacedock backdrop would be just as striking and less visually intrusive if it were darkened considerable, made more subdued.

Now if they just put the ship actually in the center of the screen. :rolleyes:

They should change out the pick with better render... not something that looks like an 800X600 pic blown up on my monitor. It looks terrible.... I'm never this critical, but the latest round of visual changes are just awful!

better idea, and what if.
 

What if, instead of the ship itself rotating, instead the camera rotated around the ship? and go with me for a moment, what if the ship were actually docked at one of those docking spaces.

I would definitely feel like I'm in the universe if they made the ship look like it were actually being refit with animated shuttle and work crews doing things to it when I change out parts.
