new ships coming soon? the Odyssey Class

most of us heard about Enterprise-F in new ship design.

so, my ship list is full, and if that become available, so i have to dismiss one of the ships i own, or they will "expand" very soon? i already bought 2 ship slot, but it now full when i got dreadnaught and Multi-Vector escort, and recently added Sao Paulo.

other question, can i "transfer" old ship to my alt?

Ship slots almost never increases with a new ship release. IIRC the only time they've done it is when shuttles came out in "The Vault." The reason for that was you needed a shuttle for the mission and if you didn't have a free slot the mission would be broken.
You're going to have to either get rid of one of your ships or buy more ship slots. Also bear in mind that most ships can be reclaimed.
As far as transfering them to an alt, no you can't. But, unless there bound, you can take the gear out of the ship and give that to an alt or sell it on the exchange.

The Odyssey will be a new T5 ships - probably a T5.5. It's not something everyone is getting for free. It is something people must buy with in-game currency - probably either Dilithium or STF points. It will be treated like any other T5 ship that you buy: IE, you will need to have room for it because it's not a free gift.

I want to see the specs. I'm not a fan of the design so it's going to need to have some serious punch in some form or another before I even think about putting resources into it.

Well, I remember reading that it WILL be a free ship.
Time will tell how Cryptic eventually decides.

"Free" as in not C-store, not free as in everybody will get one out of the gate. It'll be bought with an in-game currency, like the person you quoted said either dilithium or something akin to STF borg salvage (I'm betting on this, though not the existing salvage - new hook for a new grind to keep people playing). Likely a pretty substantial amount, too, considering how much grind it takes for a basic RA ship.

i just had "unlocked" by doing Vault mission.

also just finished all the romulan episodes just last night, just now on cardassin and some breen and undine.

now i got my padrunner, it will take me a year to reach 400th day vet for yacht, barely have 60 days, so i see optional to get them on C-store. so i just had small ship slot unlocked as my reward.

so i guess i try different types of officer class for other variety of ships.

I think you will all finde interesting this:
"Users level 5 or above will be able to test drive the new ship in a mission headed by Engineer Kani, which when completed will reward them with an Odyssey starship of their own.

KDF officers level 21 or above will similarly be rewarded with their own new Bortas (Vengeance) class starship, after reporting to Engineer Tum'Era and completing a shakedown mission."

Season 5 Dev Diary #13

As part of the Star Trek Online Second Anniversary event, all Federation characters of at least level 5 will be able to acquire the new Odyssey class starship for free. You must be a Vice Admiral to operate the Odyssey class starship. Any character below Vice Admiral rank will receive an inventory item that can be opened later, upon achieving Vice Admiral, in order to access the ship.
