Tactical Escort Refit Weapon load outs

I just got back on playing after taking some time off from the game. I was wondering if Pulse Weapons are still viable for the Escorts. I just made Vice Admiral last night and got my new Defiant class ship.

I have Tetryon Cannons on the front with two I believe Tri Cobalt Launchers. Then I have two Tetryon turrets on the rear and once more Launcher there too.

What is the best weapon layout for this ship to do the most DPS/DMG

Is it better to stick with mostly or all cannons and turrets in the rear. Or should I add phasers to the ship in the rear?

I need to find out the best solution here and if using Torp Launchers are good and what ones to use. as with phasers/Cannons.

Just trying to figure out the best solution for me right now.

Appreciate any help.

3x dhc's up front
3 turrets in the rear

Your last forward weapon depends on your playstyle. You can go Quantum torp and utilize HY3/Spread3 or go DBB and utilize BO3+BO1

Suggested: 3DHC ( or 2, with Beam Bank type) and Torp.--Forward.

2 Turrets (or 3), with Torp

Reason for Forward, you may want to have a wider firing arc.

Reason for Aft--Having a firing torp helps with the pounding to weaken shields. Spread works well.

I've been running:

Front:
3x Tetryon Dual Heavy Cannons
1x Quantum Torpedo Launcher

Rear:
2x Tetryon Beam Banks (strips)
1x Tricobalt Torpedo Launcher

Thanks guys, I appreciate the feedback. I did place some cannons on the front. And turrets in the rear. Works well. But, sometimes I feel that phasers are better when having to deal with continually using the cool down for rapid fire. You seem to lose a lot of dps because RF is required to be activated so much.

Anyway, thank you all,

simple fix for the cooldown, run 2 Tacs with C:RF and T:HY. It isn't a continous coverage, but it is pretty close.
