Build Your Odyssey-class
 
Ok ... Curious to see how players are planning to set up their Odyssey-class ships and get the most out of those universal BO slots.

Might just give me a few ideas as I think about my own setup. :D

Hmmm... I'm sure the PvP players will look at my build, laugh and then walk away, but okay I'll post my dream Odyssey build.

Beam fire at will III (If I can't turn worth a crap I wanna be able to shoot all over the place)

VA (50) Engineer

Engineering Commander:

Eject Warp Plasma III, Extend Shields III, or Reverse Shield Polarity III (I'll swap out the three Boffs as needed)
Emergency Power to Shields III
Engineering Team II
Aux to Dampeners I (It turns slightly slower than the Galaxy-X/Galaxy-R)

Lieutenant Commander Universal (Tactical)

Beam Overload III, Torpedo High Yield III, or Beam Fire at Will III (I'll swap out the three Boffs as needed)
Torpedo High Yield II, Beam Overload II, or Torpedo Spread II (respectively depending on Boffs)
Tactical Team i

Lieutenant Tactical

Torpedo High Yield II, Torpedo Spread II, Beam Overload II, or Beam Fire at Will II (so I always have one High Yield, one Beam Overload, one Beam Fire at Will, and one Torpedo Spread)
Torpedo High Yield I, Torpedo Spread I, Beam Overload I, or Beam Fire at Will I (see above)

Lieutenant Science

I've yet to be proven wrong in any statement I've made. 42k hull is good, but ultimately no more than a Carrier, which still falls under the "2-shot rule".

I am a great many negative or derogatory things.

A liar is not among them however.

Don't get me wrong however... I am interested in giving this ship a shot, both in use, and in fighting it.

On topic, however...

Eng Captain

Weapons irrelevant - if you're trying to DPS in this ship you're high on some pretty serious drugs.

ENS Engineer: EPtS1
LTC Engineer: EPtS1, RSP1, ET3
COM Engineer: ET1, RSP1 (or ES1), ES2, AtSIF3
LT Science: ST1, HE2 (or TSS2, your choice)
LT Tactical: Doesn't matter. If you're trying to DPS with this ship, you're wrong.

An alternative would be to swap the LTC Engineer for LTC Science and add some Science healing abilities to compliment your Engineer abilities. Your choice.

lol @ these tactical builds. don't que up in pvp with them, you will be very disappointed.
