U.S.S. Kirk
In the mission where you have to fend off an Undine ship for a few minutes, one of the ships that comes to your rescue is the U.S.S. Kirk, an Excaliber commanded by an Andorian.
Later, in the mission where the Kirk has been attacked by Klingons in a bid to kidnap Miral Paris... she's suddenly a Cheyenne... huh? |
Yeah, this has been going on for a while - the captain's consistent, but the ship? Well I'll be damned if I know what class it's actually meant to be, last I heard she was considered to be an excelsior, but for some reasoin there's an identity crisis going on there these days.
My assumption? The captain's a Dabo wizz and bought some holo-emitters. |
I had the same issue. In fact, I aided the Kirk and she was a Cheyenne. I beamed on to drive out the Klinks and then when I beamed back to my ship, she was an Excelsior. Changed class while I was on board.

It's a different class every time I see it. Q likes to mess with things I guess.

But yeah, this problem has been here for years. |
Yeah and when I replayed that mission she was an akira class.
I think it changes based on the rank of the captain doing the mission. They should just pick a class and have the stats on it change per captain's level. |
if i recall NPC Named ship wise, the only one that doesnt change is the jupiter class ship from wargames and the Enterprise from Past Imperfect...

And the Defiant

That's weird. I recall from my first playthrough it being an akira (and being in awe of how awesome it looked to my tiny miranda)
Now, I'm totally going to replay the mission and see what ship roulette serves up for me! |
