Belfast interior NPCs - why no DS9 Uniform as default?

Why aren't the NPCs wandering the corridors of the Belfast clad in DS9 (TNG-film era) uniforms? It can obviously be done, as the crew wandering the TOS interior are all wearing various TOS outfits. DS9 not worth as much effort?

Maybe they couldn't decide between DS9 and TNG film, and took the easy way out and used the default uniform. Or it's just a glitch.

I keep hoping we'll be able to customize our doff uniforms soon (by doff I mean the guys walking around the ship, which supposedly will be populated by doffs eventually)

Well it is 30-40 years after the show, Captain Shon (that Andorian from last week) didnt dress in that era's garb either, and he's in charge of the Belfast.

It *is* the "Belfast", not the Defiant/Sao Paulo.

Does beg the question, why match the Okudagrams on the consoles if it's supposed to be a modern ship?

I think time constraints or lazyness resulted in this...maybe both.

I vote for the DS9 Or Next Gen Movie uniform as the default. They really should do this, and it can be done - i.e TOS bundle.

I'm quite happy with the uniforms the way they are. STO is set in 2409, and to be honest, I don't want to walk around my ship and see people dressed in uniforms from the 2370s.

I honestly think we should have the choice, tbh. Maybe some sort of tailor interface that decides what uniform crewmen wear.

The heart and effort are always there but as usual, complete lack of attention to detail.
