Is Driver Coil Broken?

All I can do is Warp 10 with all my toons, even with driver coil on +3 at level 50.

Anyone know?

You won't go over Warp 10 unless you are using a set engine, such as Borg engine, Maco engine, Omega engine.

Unless you have any off the special engines, warp 10 is the fastest you can go.

Borg set takes you up to warp 30ish in you have maximum points and MACO to about warp 17, those numbers are just from memory they are slightly different.

borg engine warp 20.91 - QSD warp 29.90
Maco engine warp 18ish - qsd warp 30is
Omega engine warp 10 but qsd is warp 29ish

well i wish i had a free respect, i use mixed sets most of of the time.:( Driver Coil is useless for me now.

You can still use mixed sets with the ability. IE, you can use a Borg Engine with an Aegis shield, etc. The Skill will still buff the borg engine. Plus Driver Coil does slightly buff Full Impulse speeds on Mission maps.

Don't forget Driver Coil effects your max rank level power "Quantum Slipstream Drive" with 9 points in the skill it'll take your QSD speed up to warp 29.90 (with the Borg Engine).

Your engine isn't related to your slipstream speed. With 9 points in Driver Coil, you'll go warp 29.90 no matter which engine you're using.

This is incorrect, your engine will affect your slipstream speed.

MACO engine has the fastest slipstream speed with driver coils maxed.

Borg engine next.

Omega next, and any other engine after that.

Only MACO engine affects slipstream since it has a + driver coil modifier - unlike any other engine.
