Grav Well // *answered*
Hi
Yeah, Gravity well appears to be doing much less dmg than revealed in the tool tip. For instance, I was able to do ~1400dmg per tick according to the tooltip, yet it remains at the ~500 to 700dmg range. Did several tests. I assumed it would be resistances but I tried with a buddy who only had 2% resist to kin. Maybe I am missing something or is this thing just weak? Grav Well III btw. Not to mention that Grav Well is actually useless due to the borg heal procs xD but I still wonder where that extra dmg went. Answered by Gypsy_Blade Quote:

I agree with you, my test done the same result, damage are between 500/700 per second...most of the time nearly 550...something is broken with gravity well, and its certainly not doing the damage annouce in the tooltip.
Its need a fix asap...;) |
Pretty sure that damage drops off as the square of the distance.... ie. tooltip damage = point blank, sitting on the singularity. As a practical matter, it won't happen unless you disable their engines?
|
No it isn't the damage who is scale to the distance, it is the repel.....
And my test were at the epicenter of the grav well.... |
Gravity Wells damage is low as long as the enemy shields are up. Take out at least 1 shield facing and you'll see higher damage numbers. Of course things like Sensor Scan, APBeta/Delta or FOMM help to increase its effectiveness.

Again my test were on unshield target, i use tachyon drone ;)

i have beeon on 30 stfs the past 2 days with my KDF carrier toon who uses GW and in all attempts they all come up around 500 damage. its probably a mislabeled tooltip or incorrect damage ratio.

I will repeat...
For me, with this settings : max out graviton generator and particle generator skill ( im science officer) 2 console particule generator 125 auxiliary power Target unshielded with tachyon drone Target being pull on epicenter The tooltip say : 1425 damage per sec. Result : Pulling is ok until the mass of the target isn't more than a sphere. It will not affect cubes for example ( its obvious why, i think) But damage are staying between 500 and 700. |
