Hello,

Does this still have it's place in STO since the new skill revamp...

For example - does it make sense to cap out the Weapon Performance skill (Admiral)? Anything over 125 is still a waste right???

I tested it out, and saw otherwise - when I maxed out the Weapon Performance, my DPS was higher. When I dropped it to say about 3 (even at 3 I was still 125/100) my DPS was lower...

Assistance??

Yes you cannot go beyond 125/100. What you can do though is simply lower the weapon slider till it hits below 125 and then move it to where it just hits 125. That will allow you more power into other things like shields or aux.

I have read in wepon power specific posts that 135 is the hard cap.

OP stated that this is not the case. He says he noticed increases in damage raising weapon power over 125. At least, that's what I understood. I haven't had a chance to test it yet, but I will tonight.

Tersur79, that used to be case, the hard cap is supposed to be 125 now, and supposedly no invisible reserve either.

Any power above 125 will be wasted otherwise. i tried to explain that on my original post.

That's not the issue dude, read the OP again. He's describing obviously unintended behaviour, i.e. a bug.

I just tested by eye with the combat logs, but it seems the OP is right. I was getting noticeably more damage running 100 power to weapons, despite that I usually roll with a 90 setting (123 actual). Think the weapon power cap is bugged. Would like it if someone else could confirm.

You could cap weapon power over 125, but htat was serval seasons ago. Hence that was corrected. So there is no going over 125 (to my knowledge).

If youre focusing on damage, your weapons sould be at high levels...heck even emgerency power to weapons will give you *some* extra damage due to increase to weapon power. Hence the higher spikes sf damage at higher weapon power.

If it is the case, that extra energy over 125 is increaing dps (without the use of abilities), then by your own statement "that was corrected", would you not concur that it is broken again due to what I and the OP have observed?

Just to make sure everyone understands what's being said here, because it still seems that people are trying to anbswer a question that doesn't exist.

WE KNOW HOW IT'S SUPPOSED TO WORK. It's not working that way...

As a result of skills, etc, when I set my weapon power to 90, I have actual weapon power 123 (this is how I roll in most circumstances). When I raise it to 95 I still show 125, and obviously, when I raise it to 100 I still only see 125 actual, however, I AM seeing a corresponding increase in dps at 95 and 100, WHICH I SHOULDN'T.

Are we all on the same page now? Could someone else test and confirm if this is currently bugged or not please?
