I tryo to log in, i make it to the character select screen, and then it half way loads and BOOM server not responding error, and i get booted. been like this since like 11 30 today. this is ********. I know this game is f2p, but if it would work more often than its broken, thatd be great. any way to fix this?

Along with the above, you should also check to make sure you don't have a firewall blocking your access to the STO Servers.
