Cure for the PVP cancer thats is.....

What can we do to combat those in the PVP community who accuse people of exploiting, cheating, etc etc without any proof? When you confront them, they type "lol" and put you on ignore.

That isn't the biggest issue. It becomes worse when these accusers start to "coach" other new pvpers in their ways including their bitterness, resentment and just as bad as dilithium farmers, warping out before a match even starts because they believe their ship cannot be killed unless the opponent is cheating.

All this is doing is breaking up the PVP community.

Start sucking terribly bad at PvP so that no one believes you're using any exploits?

That's the only thing you can really do. You can't prove that you're not using exploits, or that there are no exploits. And you can't post existing exploits on the forums either (and if you did, it would just be more evidence pointing against you). You can't win this one.

I don't think there's really anything you CAN do, at the end of the day there is no third party to find out the truth. Cryptic can't have people doing that and leaving it to a fleet would be less then impartial. It's one persons word against another, and as the guy calling HAX!!!1 is usually an idiot anyway I don't really see the need to try and find a way to solve said problem.

I've never seen anyone in the PVP community with any standing call out another for cheating, it's only ever newer players that go down that road, and as most of them get bored and go back to STFs I don't see any concern lol.

Your already doing it man. I'm really happy with what you guys are doing with the cubs. Teaching newcomers and not being elitists (in general) is how you combat it. Ppl that have fragile egos will always make excuses and like ppl will gravitate to those ppl. Ppl willing to learn from those with more experience will naturally gravitate to groups like the panda cubs and learn that it has nothing to do with hax, but instead a better understanding of the game.

You can't change or win an argument against the them, so just keep working with the ones that ARE willing to learn. Haters are always gonna hate!

Grief them

It's hard to educate or just talk to those of the general who /tell you with insults, nonsense and cheat accusations. Time and again you try to explain things and they still b****, so ignoring them is pretty much the best thing to do. Rules say if you get trolled, don't troll back. One of the main reasons why I turn /tell off prior to pvp rounds.

But I will suggest them to head to a dedicated pvp fleet to learn.

Agreed. There are a lot of them, but you know, this is a MMORPG. It's part of the game.

Simple. Just explain how you do it. Works fine for me.

you can't

some of these people are in the game just for this reason. to troll and grief by chat.

When I get accused of cheating, I just report whoever accused me. IMO, being wrongly accused of cheating constitutes severe verbal abuse. My dream is that the whiner will one day get a mail from Cryptic with a warning. :D

There was one guy who accused me of cheating by using cannon rapid fire while on cooldown... Despite the fact my DHC/turret equipped T3 K'tinga didn't even have cannon rapid fire (2x tact team). No matter how hard and patiently I tried to explain it, pointing out it didn't appear in my buff bar, he just kept on accusing me.

Now with some, explanations do help ease the "misunderstanding". Some though just can't accept the truth, that they don't know half as much as they think they do.

These types have enough knowledge that they can beat new PvPers easily, but not enough to deal with PvP addicts, generally relying on gimmicks such as FAWescorts or P2W consoles. They also tend to have anger management issues, be the rudest and those most likely to smack talk and insult other players.
