Caitian Atrox Carrier
Why does its turning have to be so slow? I know its a carrier but really D:?
|
Really? Can't we just have an escort with the the power levels of a cruiser, the shields of a Sci, and four hangars full of non-targetable, kamikaze, tricobalt, shield leeching, fighters? Then we could finally put to rest this silly issue of game balance...
|
The Atrox is essentially an analogue to the V'Quv, which also has an abysmal turn rate.
Just work with it, man. If you are finding yourself in a situation where your carrier has to be doing quick turns, then you're not playing your carrier right. And if you really do need to make quicker turns, there's always Aux to Structural Integrity (I believe that's it). |

to OP: But like others said you don't want powers that rely on arcs. What I tend to do with my carriers is put loads of heals on them and let my craft do the dmg. If you are set on better turn rate the try Attack Patter Omega and Aux to inertial dampers as mentioned earlier |
I use Energy Siphon and a tractor beam boosted by a doff as my 'offensive powers'. And that basically takes acre of any arc issues...
|
This, and Scramble Sensors. No arcs, don't share subsystems, disable your opponents and turn their firepower against them.

But, yeah, OP -- it's called balance. Carriers already get to toss out tons of craft and access a good amount of science abilities. Take advantage of the suggestions in this thread when you really need to turn and enjoy getting to watch your pets rip through things. That's half the fun! Also, powerslides. Those are the other half of the fun! |
In my Vo'Quv, if I want to turn, I use Evasive Maneuvers. You just need to suck it up, friend.
