extend shield revamp. This buff would expand your shield bubble large enough so that other team players can get inside. This buff would protect any friendly ship inside the shield bubble with the extenders shield cap,buffs etc. It would have a range of 5km have a lasting time of 30 seconds and have a recharge time of 60 seconds. For balance because your spreading out your shields energy this results in a weaker shield bubble= -25% shield cap. Epts and tss could slightly make that percentage go down because they are giving more power to your shield. THIS IS CANON they have done it in voyager 2 times one time when voyager was stuck in a void with other ships and when voyager found that other fed ship in the delta quad that was harvesting aliens to make them warp faster.

any friendly ships inside would be protected by your shield no dmg could get through to ships in the bubble other than bleed through transphasics etc. Also enemy ships cannot enter the bubble.

no its not. current extend shield just heals and gives dmg res. new extend shield bubble protects a friendly with your shield hit points and shield buffs you can target the friendly in my shield but your weapons will only dmg my shield other than bleed through,transphasics etc.

i now think this should be a revamp on extended shield the name is the same but nothing else this is really the canon extend shields

When you first activate the buff there should be a expanding shield sphere it stops expanding at 5km but the visual stays until the buff is over.

So kinda like scattering field but with the casters actual shield stats? Interesting.......

Umm, I'm usually closer to enemies than 5 km, would the borg benefit from my protection if they were already in the "bubble" while I cast it? But given we'd all be inside the bubble, we would still fire at each other. And I would have no shields, they'd be far far away (only good to protect the fighting ships from cosmic radiation, I guess). Also, given it's an eng ability, how would you, in a slow cruiser, keep the escorts you're protecting inside?

Overall, I think not. Everything can't be the same in game as it is in TV shows, movies.

im gunna change that any ship to any friendly ship and any enemy ship inside would be forced out like the ground force field gen. Also you can fire through the bubble because your weapons are on the same frequency has your shields also you keep your shields your just protected by my shields too also a enemy cant benefit because their shields are not on the same frequency as yours friendlys just change their frequency to yours by defualt
