character creator location
i'm only just starting, but i couldn't find a thread for it, i can't find where i begin character creator, when i start up STO and login, it only gives me the option to go to c-store, and a button on the button, marked patch, that won't work.
can anyone help? atatreet |
When you start STO for the first time, you need to allow patching to get the latest version of the game.
Only after you get past the Cryptic splash screen and the brightness adjustment options is when you'll be able to create your character. |

You should be able to press "Patch" and after waiting a little while the launcher will begin downloading and updating the game files. If your waiting beyond a minute or so, perhaps there is a firewall issue and you could try it again with your firewall software turned off.

thing is, i'm using wine windows program loader to play STO, all's gone fine so far, i just don't know how to do firewall management with windows...
i'm using ubuntu, linux, with wine. |
