Very Sad News...Ent D Bridge Torn Apart..

From a Kotaku article...the Bridge from Las Vegas Hilton's Star Trek Experience was torn apart and thrown to the side of the street. This was the only other set for TNG's Enterprise D's bridge seeing that the original bridge was destroyed in Star Trek: Generations. IT's a very sad thign to see and I believe it was done deliberately to just hurt Star Trek.

I have to agree with most of the comments on this article too..the pictures are just horrible to look at..

Even the article states the obvious that the set could have been auctioned off or given to a charity...just disguesting.

EDIT: Thanks to a few posts below me there is infact some hope left seeing that some people were able to snag most of the bridge remains. http://arstechnica.com/business/2012...rise-d-bridge/

Aren't there people restoring the D bridge?

Not anymore.

I think somewhere in Canada (few posters in that link mentioned it) has attempted to make their own D bridge...but no, this was the last one. :(

Actually....

http://whatculture.com/tv/star-trek-...ise-bridge.php

These are the guys taking it upon themselves to do the restoration.

In fact, the bottom of the OP's posted article mentions them and their effort for restoration as well as providing a link on how they were able to get almost the entire thing.

Sorry about that, I actually couldn't see the link due to color schemes on the site / I couldn't stop looking at the pictures.

I didn't know the Enterprise D's Brige was still around at the Hilton untill now.

How sad that it was torn down.

The only good thing that came out of The Experience being shutdown, was that later on I found out Michael Jackson was going to replace that whole section of the hotel....oh how karma loves to play with people :D  . I still laugh at the Hilton due to that.

There is another bridge replica with "Star Trek: The Exhibition" that travels to various museums around North America.
