Wells Class, Vesta Class coming ....BUT whats next?
 

We are all aware that the Wells Class is coming from last weeks slip up. The Vesta is coming (likely very soon) with Friday's screenshot of the Nebula.

This brings me to the question....WHERE the F*** is the Andorian ship??? WHERE the F*** is the Ambassador Class?

We have seen many ships that were promised "down the line" come into the game already. Sovreign/Regent and T5 Akira just to name a few. We have witnessed lockbox ships of a Cardassian, Jem Hadar, Ferengi, and Tholian species, yet.......after almost 3 years the Devs refuse to include the Ambassador and also the Andorian ship.

Will freakin' the Enterprise-J-K-L-M or N be in-game before we see either of these long promised ships???

I'm starting to see why so many people I've chatted with in-game are getting sick. I'm an optomist, so can someone please add some words of encouragement, or, provide their thoughts when the Devs might actually live up to their promise?

Why the desperation for the ambassador class / andorian ship?

The Ambassador was the stepping stone from an excelsior - galaxy, and lets be honest they are not the greatest ships about ^^ (opinions may vary). (i am not fluent in the Star trek extended universe but..) The ambassador appeared as a focus in ONE episode, and made minor appearances in other things, e.g. one being blown at the first borg Cube.

Now i can understand if you want to fly you favorite ship, or you have a desperate roleplaying URGE to fly it, but why is it so INSANELY important ?

Andorian ship i can kinda understand, something different from your A-typical federation ships of saucer and nacelles, but still I would guess it would just be a tactical orientated cruiser which we have plenty of. (unless they decide to make a horror hybrid of a cruiser/escort/flight deck)

Personally I'm more interested in something NEW, different and preferably not in the oddesy paintjob, [not my cup of tea :)] Plus lets be honest, the ambassador is essentially a slightly different Galaxy..

im with you on this dude, a m8 of mine got told "2 YEARS AGO" by a GM that betazed would be opend up as a social zone and i quote "verry soon" and like i said, that was 2 years ago

erm dude, have u actually flown a excelsior? they are the best cruisers in-game

It's been said numerous times that the Ambassador will be connected with some featured story mission and then released in a playable form. It's on the schedule, so be patient. We already have way too many cruisers in the game anyway - I for one am not in a hurry to see yet another one, and I can understand the Dev's decission to postpone it and focus on something different for a moment.

Seriously... trekkies are the worst kind of fans when it comes to STO... At least with other games players mostly appreciate what the get (and we do get a lot of playable ships - you can't argue with that). Here it's just constant moaning because each ST fan would like to see a different thing prioritised. You just can't please everybody...

Also, what does the nebula art has to do with the Vesta? The ship shown in the dock there is the Odyssey.

The Azure Nebula is associated with the Vesta via the Destiny series of novels. Almost everything known about the Nebula comes from that novel series.

A far as the OP, the Vesta was in the Foundry, meaning it's getting closer. I assume the Vesta will be coming around Season 7.

As far as the Ambassador, it has been mentioned both on the forum and in podcasts. Dstahl joked about it at the same time he joked about the Wells - and we have seen the Wells. Gecko also said in the podcast that the Ambassador would make it's debut sometime between now and early Season 7.

Cryptic tries to only put out 1 ship per month, and we have 4 months before Season 7, so the odds are good that the Ambassador will be one of the next 4 ships released - as will the Wells/Korath; assuming they're not Vet Reward ships.

Federation keeps getting ship after ship after ship handed to them and all can do is greedily ask for more.

Why not be happy with what you have, wait patiently, and do some research?

It doesn't matter what Faction player you are. Everyone wants something. :)

If the Federation Faction really is 80%+ of the player-base then that means they are financially supporting the game at 80%+ - and probably closer to 95%. As such there's nothing wrong with them wanting the things they want.

With those numbers wow...95% of the game is federation players...wow...I'm sorry greed away little feddies!

Make up all the fake numbers you want, doesn't take away the fact that feds in this game are some of the greediest I have ever seen in any faction and or mmo ever.
